About Ashley Court

Ashley Court is an elegant brick building in a captivating area. The Sunnyside neighborhood encompasses two of Portland’s most vibrant streets- Belmont and Hawthorne, and Ashley Court is tucked right between the two! The tidy rose bordered courtyard compliments the quality architecture of the building. Step back decades in these vintage 1944 flats, with beautiful hardwood floors, classic tile work, built in storage, and arched doorways. Many bright windows add to the cheerful ambience inside of Ashley Court. Each apartment has a private entrance and back door. Single car garages and additional storage spaces are available at this property.

South-East Portland has its fair share of charm, quiet streets host craftsmen style homes alongside pre-war buildings and slick modern spaces, and you are never more than a few blocks from lively streets that are lined with cozy local coffee shops and exceptional boutique shopping. Never Coffee, Stumptown, and the Fresh Pot are only a few of the local spots you’ll discover for coffee and tea. You can eat to your heart’s content at restaurants like Apizza Scholls, Por Que No?, the Sweet Hereafter, and Slappy Cakes all within a quick walk, and for desert there is Ruby Jewel Ice Cream. You’ll find store like Powell’s Books, Presents of Mind, Sloan, and Buffalo Exchange dotted down the streets and will have easy access to Fred Meyer, Wallgreens, and New Seasons.Small independent businesses, local artists and musicians are cherished as a vital part of the neighborhood's culture and identity.

There is plenty of entertainment and recreational activities in Sunnyside. Bagdad Theater, a historic Movie Theater plays first-run films in the large auditorium that is flanked with McMenamin’s restaurants and pubs on either side. Or, you can spend a rainy afternoon at Quarter World, an adult-friendly arcade. You’ll also be minutes from the Belmont Library. For a breath of fresh air you can head to Laurelhurst Park, one of the loveliest parks in the city. The historic park has a bit of everything- rolling green lawns, running and walking paths, a duck pond, picnic spots, off-leash dog area, playground, basketball and tennis courts.  For hikers, there is Mt. Tabor, that has a plethora of trails and offers stunning views of the city.

Though Sunnyside offers almost anything you could want right at your fingertips it is also very centrally located and it is exceeding easy to get around to other parts of Portland. Cars are optional at this convenient location, as bikes and walking are the preferred method of getting around, and there are also plenty of public transit options nearby. Bus lines 14, 15, 66, and 75 serve the area. If you are driving SE Cesar Chavez runs North to South and can connect you just about anywhere, and SE Hawthorne Blvd will take you strait downtown. Nearby neighborhood include Richmond, Laurelhurst, and Hollywood.
