About Edwin Court
Edwin Court is located in a quiet neighborhood surrounded by beautiful cedar trees in the St. John’s neighborhood. It’s a juxta positioning of two boutique buildings with very different styles. 8625 N Leonard St was built in 1942 and is home to (4) charming 1-bedroom apartments and (2) studios on three levels. Built in 2007, 8635 N Leonard has twelve 1-bedroom apartment homes built on two levels. Although each building has very different floorplans, both buildings have been nicely renovated and include large, sunny windows bringing in an abundance of natural light, spacious living areas, modern kitchens with updated appliances, (some with dishwashers, microwave ovens, islands, and dining bars), most units have hardwood or luxury wide plank vinyl flooring, modern lighting and ample storage and closet space. Select units have stacked washers & dryers and there are additional laundry facilities onsite as well.
This quaint neighborhood is just a short walk away from vibrant downtown St. Johns where you will find quaint coffee shops, local breweries, eclectic restaurants, fine bakeries, unique vintage shops and the beloved local movie theatre. Two Stroke Coffee serves up a great house-roasted expresso, yummy pastries and has a unique moto vibe. For breakfast & lunch try John Street Café, a cozy little local’s fav. If it’s a south-of-the-border you crave, Tienda Santa Cruz is a bustling little joint in the back of a Mexican market. Try a local ale at Occidental Brewing Company or go for some axe throwing, (yeah, axe throwing!) at Stormbreaker Brewing featuring a large year-round covered & heated patio, a big screen for those big games and expanded dining area. For groceries and essentials, Safeway and St. John’s Farmer’s Market are just a few blocks away from your front door.
For nature lovers, Edwin Court is located within walking distance to several parks with hiking trails, sports courts, playgrounds and nice picnic areas. Cathedral Park and the stunning St. Johns Bridge are within a half-mile of your residence where you can enjoy summertime concerts and festivals and the natural scenery of the Willamette River in any season. Other parks of note are St Johns Park, Pier Park Disc Golf Course and Willamette cove.
Edwin Court enjoys a walk score of 91 and a bike score of 90 so daily errands do not require a vehicle. There are excellent bike lanes, close proximity to several bus lines and downtown Portland is a mere 15 minute drive along Hwy 30.
